"Depression can be treated with medications and therapy. It also might help to find something -- anything -- to do that you can feel is useful."
One of the traits of a patient with depression is a low self-worth - depressive persons feel the are useless - which I realize perfectly. Such a consequence, I believe, results from a great variety of factors, including a great failure, humiliation, and a low self-esteem. These factors are associated with each other closely. For instance, a great failure may prompt humiliation, and in turn sabotage one's self-esteem. They, however, can occur to a person independently. A low self-esteem may not result from humiliation or failures. Instead, it may be an intrinsic personality.
I don't know which situation I am in. Maybe it's self-recognition - an unsuccessful one.
